Congrats to the beautiful bride Anita G. It was not Anita's wedding but her engagement party. The engagement ceremony is an important event as it marks the beginning of the wedding ceremonies for Indian culture. But it's just like a small wedding! She was so beautiful!!! Anita wore the most beautiful sparkling aqua and magenta sari. We did aqua and purple eyeshadow and sparkling plum lips to complete her look. She looked stunning. Anita and her best friend came into Bloom Bridal Boutique for both hair and airbrush makeup. They also got ready for the occasion in our bridal dressing room.

Congrats to Ruby T.! Ruby came into Bloom Bridal Boutique for her airbrush makeup and hair trial in July. She wanted a very soft look but with some color. Hair up and off her back. We gave her just that! A beautiful sparkling headband completed her look!

We traveled to her home in Union City on her wedding day. Thank you so much for having us Ruby!

What a fun bride. Amy had a last minute emergency and called Bloom for help! We are able to accommodate her on her wedding day and we are so glad we made the scheduling arrangements to have her come into the shop for airbrush makeup artistry and hair!!! She wanted a 1950's pin up look. She wanted retro loose waves like a Hollywood pin-up. Makeup was also 1950's with fire engine red lips, liquid liner and of course some gorgeous lashes!!! Congratulations to our beautiful bride!!! Jen's wedding was at the Sand Rock Farm in Aptos, Ca. What a fun bride! The Bloom team traveled out to her on her wedding day! She came into Bloom Bridal Boutique for her trial in May, 2011. Jen went for a beachy look, perfect for her day. Salty air and beach breezes call for a soft, relaxed wedding hairstyle that looks casual, yet polished. This romantic up-do is a particularly smart choice; what with ocean mist or humid conditions, she doesn't wants to struggle to maintain sleek, straight hair. The hair held up all day and through the evening. Her airbrush makeup was soft with neutral color, peach cheek and a soft peach/pink shiny gloss. What a gorgeous bride! The champagne was flowing and we loved hearing the stories about how they met. Lots of laughs! :)

Kim Kardashian - Wedding Extravaganza!!

Kim Kardashian is a married woman!
Kim K went all out for her wedding extravaganza to ridiculously tall Kris Humphries this weekend in southern California. But really, did anyone think she would do anything less than fabulous? Have you seen pictures of her bridal look? Or should I say looks? Kim definitely went for a more non-traditional look with the headpiece and we have to say we are a bit torn. On the one hand, Kim is so pretty that she can really pull off any look, and it does look good on her. And of course, every bride should get to look exactly how they want to on their big day! However, its not a timeless look so we wonder if down the road will it be a fashion faux pas? Will people look at it and say 'what were you thinking?'. Are people saying that now?
Well regardless, in the pictures that we have seen Kim and Kris look very happy, and really thats all you can ask for, right?

Another slightly controversial thing was what Kim asked her guests to wear. The invitation requested that guests wear black or white, and it looks like Kris Jenner, and all of Kims sisters wore white as well. Isn't the bride the only one who is supposed to wear white? Would you every have guests wear white to your wedding? Or would you thrown a slight (but totally valid) if not silent fit if another guest wore white on your big day?

If you haven't, take a second and look at the pictures from the reception and ceremony. Besides the sheer size of and amount of everything, everything has been done in a very classy and timeless way.

Bloom Bridal Boutique traveled out to Foster City, Ca this Saturday for Alissa's wedding. She came into Bloom for her trial in June where she held her wedding date with us. At her trial we did airbrush makeup with very soft neutral eyes, bronzer and soft pink cheeks and lips to get the look Alissa wanted for the big day. On the day of the wedding she chose to change her makeup look a little bit. Although we did the airbrush foundation, soft pink cheeks and lips Alissa wanted to soft smokey bronze eye. She looked stunning! We did individual lashes to complete her look. Her hair was half up and half down with beautiful curls and a veil to complete her hair style. Alissa looked perfect. The wedding party had adorable black dresses with rain boots for the ceremony. Such a fun December wedding! I cant wait to see the photos! Her photographer was Vero Suh (www.verosuh.com)

At 10:10 a.m., Elvis pronounced the Mazzones man and wife — four years after they had booked the chapel.

“We’re not even superstitious or anything,” Chris Mazzone said.

The date stemmed from his wife joking about how she would only get married by Elvis in Vegas, said Chris Mazzone, who is a wedding deejay on the side.

What is Electrolysis?

Electrolysis is a form of permanent hair removal that eliminates any unwanted facial or body hair through the use of electrical current. A very fine, sterile probe is inserted into each individual hair follicle at the surface of the skin, delivering a low-level electrical current to kill the follicle and eliminate the hair permanently. What are Eyelash Extensions?

Eyelash Extensions are a totally new way to extend the length and thickness of your eyelashes. They are applied on a hair-by-hair basis to your own lashes for a totally natural look.

How long do they last?

When properly applied, Lashes can last up to two months or more. Touch-ups are recommended after initial full set application to replace any lashes that might have fallen off. Properly applied lashes will last for the length of the natural growth cycle of each eyelash hair.

How do I care for my Lash Extensions?

Care must be taken not to rub eyes, or scratch. Also, any creams, eye makeup removers, lotions, or cleansers containing glycols or carbonates can loosen the bond of Lash Extensions. Care must be taken to apply eye cream sparingly with avoidance of the lash line area.

Can I add mascara to Lash Extensions?

Water soluble mascara can be worn; however constant use of mascara may shorten the life-span of your lashes. WATERPROOF MASCARA IS NOT RECOMMENDED FOR USE AS IT WILL DISSOLVE THE BOND WITH THE LASHES.

How much do Lashes cost?

The first set is $240, touch ups are $45 and up.

Bloom Bridal Boutique was featured in San Francisco Style Unveiled! We were privileged to do the hair and makeup for Margaret and Richie at the Cypress Hotel in Cupertino, Ca. She chose a beautiful look for her big day! She wanted a very traditional look to go with her wedding. We gave her just that! The makeup was focused on a bolder lip and she chose to do airbrush makeup which lasted all night long. Her hair was simple and beautiful with long silky curls hanging to her shoulders.
